ISLA Open House

I am SO happy/thrilled/relieved that Ethan enjoyed his Kindergarten open house today!  He'll be attending a Spanish immersion charter school - International Spanish Language Academy.

Turning along with my camera.
"Entre los individuos, como entre las naciones, el respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz."
Here comes the Porcaro family.  Claire was excited to wear her backback, too.

A few weeks ago, Ethan received a postcard from Mrs. A in the mail.  He made one for her and she was so sweet in the way she received it.  It made me think of Ethan's wonderful preschool teachers in Georgia.
Ethan's teacher is from Colombia and the classroom "language ambassador" (sort of like a college-age exchange student) is from Argentina.  We'll see what sort of accent he learns!

Showing Mrs. A the notebook he made at home by taping about 20 sheets of printer paper together.  I sure hope Ethan likes his teacher next week when she only speaks to him in Spanish!

While other kids played in the kitchen or with the doll sets, Ethan sat at a table to write in his notebook.  BTW, it was his idea to wear school uniform today.
Cute big brother.  Notice how he's holding Audrey's hand.
School starts after Labor Day.  On the first day of school, Kinders and their parents come for 1 hour only to get their first taste of the immersion experience.  Should be interesting and fun!
