It's been SO fun to have Lisa, Spencer, Kate and Jess in Minneapolis for the summer!! (For those who don't know, Lisa and David are the youngest siblings of the Porcaro family.) Spencer got an internship with Best Buy, and so they moved to MN the same week we did. We live about 15 minutes apart. Ethan and Claire have loved having cousins to play with.
Spencer's internship ended this week, so they're heading back to Madison, Wisconsin for the final year of his MBA program. We will miss them tons! But the good news is... Best Buy gave Spencer a job offer!! They have a few months to decide for sure, but we are hoping they move back to Minneapolis for good!

| Ethan and Kate are both into writing notes and signs. Sometimes they write things like, "I love you." Other times they write things like, "Go home." |
Recognize these cuties from 5 years ago???
| Ethan still makes Kate feel this way some times. (K 13mo, E 3mo) |

5 years later...
Ethan knew Aunt Lisa was awesome when he first laid eyes on her sewing machine. He drew diagrams and made model sewing machines for days afterward. (Mom, why don't we have a sewing machine??)
Lisa made cute bibs for Audrey to drool on.
Spencer is pretty awesome, too. Not only did he help us unload our moving truck, but he also helped David dig holes for our new backyard fence! (Did I mention he biked 75 miles that same morning? No wonder Claire is in love with Spencer.)
Lisa got us hooked on garage sales! One day she brought over a huge bag of beaded necklaces.
Baby bling.

Lisa introduced Claire to dress-ups, nail polish, Barbies, and all the other stuff that didn't occur to me or David. (Ethan gets in on the dress-up action with his Superman costume.)

Remember the View Master? Our local thrift store has it all.
We also like more expensive toys, like David's iPhone.

Fourth of July Fireworks

My sweet little Claire turned out to be a bit of a bully when poor Jess was around.

David taught the kids to play Red Rover.

Cute girls

Red Rover, Red Rover, send David right over!
No mercy... David totally took Claire down.

ReplyDeleteThat's so great that you had cousins in town. So fun. I love the picture of your backyard-the expanse of grass- the trees.
ReplyDeleteThe blessing pictures are so beautiful. Your camera seems to be doing great work, as usual!
